Seiko brand's 100th anniversary limited edition Prospex Marinemaster Exhibition

From now until 30th June 2024, Seiko Exhibition is available at Oriental Watch Company’s store in Jordan JD Mall. Exquisite selection of Seiko timepieces including King Seiko, Prospex and Presage watches are on display, as well as the Seiko brand's 100th anniversary limited edition Prospex Marinemaster model SJE097J1.

100th Anniversary of the Seiko Brand

Since the beginning of Seiko in 1881, the company has continued to innovate in line with the founder's philosophy to be "Always one step ahead of the rest." In 1924, the company introduced the first wristwatch with “Seiko” on the dial, signifying the beginning of the Seiko brand. 2024 marks the 100th anniversary of this landmark event.

SJE097J1 - SJE097J1 - Inspired by both the first Japanese Diver’s watch launched in 1965, and the Seiko Marinemaster design from the 2000s

SJE097J1 features inspired elements from the 1965 original diver, including its silhouette and distinctive hour markers. The horizontal line patterned dial evokes a marine-sports style, whilst its sapphire exhibition case back is a first in a Seiko Diver. Its lugs have a mirrored finish for added light reflection, whilst its thick hour markers are Lumibrite-coated for high legibility. This is the slimmest of all Seiko mechanical divers watches at only 12.3mm, despite the box sapphire glass and the exhibition case back.
