Disney STEAM Experience

This event is the first "SOLAB STEAM Drift Boat Creation Competition" prize day organized by the HKCIN and sponsored by Oriental Watch Company. Previously, the "Favorite Work" was voted on SOLAB and the HKCIN’s social media platform.

The winning students from three schools, along with volunteers from Oriental Watch Company, participated in the "STEAM Time Exploration Journey" at Disneyland, leading everyone on a magical learning journey of STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) in the amusement park.

Disney STEAM Experience

Behind every amusement facility in the park there are fascinating scientific principles and STEAM elements such as mechanics, ratio, and vision. From theory to observation and experience, students can understand how STEAM is closely related to daily life through marvelous learning methods. Under the guidance of mentors, students observe and participate in fun experiments in the park. For example, they explore different types of bridge designs and structures and test the load-bearing capacity of bridges through paper bridge experiments. They also experience the "Mad Hatter Tea Cups" to explore the generation of centripetal and centrifugal forces, and so on.

After completion, corporate volunteers will form teams with students to participate in the Disney tour and complete missions in different facilities within the park.

Along the way, students will have the opportunity to share and apply the STEAM knowledge they learned in the morning with the volunteers. They understood how the world of fantasy is created by imaginative engineers using creativity and science to provide unforgettable experiences through various amusement facilities. Through this experience, students will realize the close relationship between individuals and technology, enhance teamwork and communication skills. It's a time for children to enjoy and share learning together!
