Celebrities, trendsetters and race-goers support 2021 Oriental Watch 60th Anniversary Sha Tin Trophy Gentlemen’s Bow Tie Raceday
On 17th October 2021, the Sha Tin Racecourse was filled with racegoers in attires graced with bow ties or bow-related elements, in support of the 2021 Oriental Watch 60th Anniversary Sha Tin Trophy Gentlemen’s Bow Tie Raceday.
Renowned actress Ms Ashley Lin and renowned actor cum event ambassador Mr. Terrance Lau joined the management of Oriental Watch Company and The Hong Kong Jockey Club at the opening ceremony while Ms Gladys Li, Ms Tsang Lok Tung, Mr. Bruce Tong and Mr. Chris Tong starred in a catwalk show as celebrity model s. Among the prestigious guests were Ms Alina Lee, Ms Yvette Kong, Mr. Henick Chou, Mr. Jacky Tong, Ms Cheronna Ng, Ms Nat Kwan, Ms Gloria Yip, Mr. Donny Wu and Ms Icy Wong.
Held after the GIRARD-PERREGAUX Excellent Handicap, the opening ceremony of 2021 Oriental Watch 60th Anniversary Sha Tin Trophy Gentlemen’s Bow Tie Raceday was commenced with a speech by Mr. Dennis Yeung, Managing Director of Oriental Watch Company, followed by a cake-cutting ceremony officiated by Mr. Dennis Yeung, Mr. Winfried Engelbrecht-Bresges, CEO of The Hong Kong Jockey Club, Ms Ashley Lin and Mr. Terrance Lau. After that, Mrs. Clara Yeung, Mr. Andrew Harding, Executive Director, Racing of The Hong Kong Jockey Club, Mr. William Nader, Director of Racing Product, Marketing and Sponsorship of The Hong Kong Jockey Club, and Mr. Alain Lam, Director of Oriental Watch Company, were invited on stage to join the officiating party for a toasting ceremony. Mr. Terrance Lau attended the event in a stylish gentleman attire, with a spectacular H. MOSER & CIE. timepiece on his wrist, while Ms Ashley Lin, in a charming, bow-inspired gown designed by renowned fashion designer Mr. Pius Cheung, enhanced her appearance with a CORUM timepiece. The duo graced the event as a perfect manifestation of elegance and glamour.
After the third race, catwalk shows were staged in the Winners’ Enclosure and then at The Jockey Club Box, featuring celebrity models Ms Gladys Li, Ms Tsang Lok Tung, Mr. Bruce Tong, Mr. Chris Tong, and four models dressed in specially-designed haute couture featuring bow elements designed by reputable fashion designer Mr. Pius Cheung and classy gentleman attires designed by fashion designer Mr. Andy Cheung. The eight prestigious timepieces on show were the Cat’s Eye – Celestial by GIRARD-PERREGAUX, the FRANCK MULLER Vanguard Lady Gravity, the GRAND SEIKO Heritage Collection SBGC240, the IWC Big Pilot’s Watch Perpetual Calendar, the Tonda PF Micro-Rotor by PARMIGIANI FLEURIER, the Pioneer Centre Seconds Mega Cool by H. MOSER & CIE., the Piaget Polo and the CORUM Admiral 38 Automatic.
Attending the event in chic and elegant attire, renowned singer-songwriter Mr. Jay Fung was awarded the “Best Bow Tie Attire Award”, winning an exquisite FRANCK MULLER timepiece while the winner of the “Guess the Winning Horse” contest was awarded a GRAND SEIKO timepiece.
2021 Oriental Watch 60th Anniversary Sha Tin Trophy Gentlemen’s Bow Tie Raceday presented 10 breath-taking horse races in the following sequence: GIRARD-PERREGAUX Excellent Handicap, IWC SCHAFFHAUSEN Excellent Handicap, H. MOSER & CIE Excellent Handicap, GRAND SEIKO Excellent Handicap, FRANCK MULLER Excellent Handicap, The Premier Bowl, PARMIGIANI FLEURIER Excellent Handicap, 2021 Oriental Watch 60th Anniversary Sha Tin Trophy, CORUM Excellent Handicap and PIAGET Excellent Handicap. The winner of 2021 Oriental Watch 60th Anniversary Sha Tin Trophy went to Panfield, and the horse owner Yue Yun Hing was thrilled with the honour.
